Our Commitment to Mission
heart of our church is mission. The ways we reach out in
Area Community Ministries (EACM)
cooperative effort of more than thirty churches and
business partners, EACM ministers to the needs of
residents in the eastern Jefferson County area. They are
located in the church basement, which can be accessed
via the lower parking lot. For more information, please

part of EACM's umbrella efforts, Emergency Assistance is an emergency
assistance organization that operates a food bank and
provides assistance with paying for rent and utilities. It
is located in the church basement and staffed by
volunteers. English and Spanish-speaking aides are
Civic Services – We provide space for the small cities in the
area to hold their City Government meetings.
EACM Back to School
– We as a congregation support the Back
to School Program for EACM by providing school supplies,
backpacks, and clothing for school age children.
Food for First – The first Sunday of each month, the
congregation donates food to the Emergency Assistance Food Bank.
– This organization provides relief for orphans in
Hunger Walk – We join with many others to participate in
Louisville’s annual Hunger Walk each year. In 2008, thanks
to this project, more than 2,000 people helped raise over
$100,000 to fight hunger in Kentuckiana.
Kentucky Refugee Ministry
– We routinely collect and distribute
household items designed to help refugee families get a
better start on their new life in our community.
3¢ a meal – Donations are collected on the
third Sunday of each month and the money goes to Living
Waters of the World to provide clean drinking water to
countries that need it.
